Jeffrey A. Batts

Jeffrey A. Batts

Jeffrey’s practice focuses on business matters and dispute resolution. Since his career began in 1986, he has handled a wide range of business matters, including complex business litigation, most involving closely held businesses and disputes among owners. He also advises parties with respect to business acquisitions, contracts, organization and operations. Jeffrey works with companies from formation to dissolution, and is a firm believer in forward-looking planning for the entire life cycle of a business. His early career as a Certified Public Accountant provides financial insight in his advice to businesses. Jeffrey also litigates estate related matters, including caveats and other will and trust issues. During the last several years, Jeffrey joined other North Carolina attorneys to promote the civil collaborative law process as a dispute resolution alternative to litigation. Jeffrey is also a certified mediator for matters in North Carolina Superior Court and matters before Clerks of Court.

When not working with his clients, Jeffrey enjoys backpacking, fishing, and time with his family.
